About Me

First off, I’d like to welcome you to my site and the time you’ve taken to check it out. What this means to me is that you are interested in fitness or at least you are considering getting in shape and this is a good thing. The whole purpose of my site is to try and help people like yourself to find ways to live healthier and to become more fit.

My name is John, and I’ve been a fitness coach/instructor for about 15 years now, however, I wasn’t always into being fit and eating right. Because of this, I believe that I truly get where others who shy away from fitness programs are coming from. That’s because I use to be there, I never wanted to take the time out and get into shape and eat the right foods because I just was too lazy to put the effort into it. It is a lot of work, but, once I started getting into it I realized how important fitness was and that you can include it into your daily schedule and diet without having to give up everything else in your life.

The whole idea of my site is to reach out to those who often avoid any kind of fitness program because either they simply don’t know where to start or they’re afraid that they might not be capable of being able to find a program that they can help them become more disciplined in order to reap the benefits. I really want to help these people so they can live healthier and happier lives through good nutrition and fitness.

As for me personally, I’m married and have been for 20 years now. It was my wife, Sarah, that turned me onto fitness. She was already really into eating good and getting plenty of exercise when we met. Her dedication to staying healthy was an inspiration to me and that’s why I got into fitness and good nutrition. She also is the one I credit for encouraging me to becoming a fitness coach/instructor 15 years ago. Together, we started up our own program to help people learn about fitness and healthy eating. Our program is one that encourages people to learn the importance of these things and teach them how they can incorporate fitness and good nutrition in their private lives.

Sarah and I have two children, a boy and a girl, and both of them are extremely involved in fitness and participate in a variety of different sports that keep them busy, happy and healthy. We continually encourage our children to eat properly and to continue to be active instead of sitting in front of a computer or TV screen playing video games and this has helped them immensely through the years to not only be healthy but it also helps them to be more socially outgoing than a lot of kids who are attached to their phones or computers all day. This is not saying that I have anything against modern technology but, there’s a time and a place for it. To stay healthy one needs to do things that are physical, even if it’s go for a walk once a day. You need to do something other than be online. I teach my children the same way I teach those who come to me as a fitness coach/instructor. So far, I’d say that my approach has been successful.

I like to think of my approach as a fitness coach/instructor is one that shows understanding and compassion especially for those who are first timers when it comes to fitness and nutrition. The last thing I want to do is to scare people off by being too hard on them. The approach of being tough on clients might work for some people, however, I’ve found that teaching with compassion and understanding works much better for people who have a negative attitude about the whole fitness thing.

I hope that you will find my articles both interesting and helpful and that they will encourage you to become more devoted to a fitness program that will fit you and your needs as well as help you look at fitness in a different way. In fact, I hope that it might even make you think that it can actually be fun.
